Another reason for parents to put down the cigarettes…second hand smoke is dangerous. How dangerous? An alarming new study suggests that more than half of all children in the United States between the ages of 3-11 have signs of second hand smoke in their blood. Researchers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention examined blood samples from over 1300 children. It was found that children exposed to second hand smoke were susceptible to bronchitis, asthma, and pneumonia.
