Where do you carry your cell phone? In your purse, in your pocket, or on your belt? You may want to think twice about where you put your cell phone. Many are questioning whether it is safe to put it in your pocket because it’s too close to your body. FCC regulations do not mandate that cell phone companies test for radiation exposure when the phone is flush against the body, yet many cell phones come with warnings. The new iPhone recommends you keep it 5/8 of an inch away from your body and always use a carrying case or belt clip. That safety warning may be cause for concern; but the truth is, nobody knows for sure. Some experts are calling for the FCC to get involved to start testing cell phones for safety. In the meantime, there are products available to block cell phone radiation or you can keep it away from your body as much as possible.
